Biography
Madison Cozens is a Scottish New Zealand-born mezzo soprano. She recently performed the role of Juno in Edinburgh Studio Opera’s production of Handel’s Semele(“insane earthy and vengeful vocals”). Last year, Madison understudied the role of Prince Orlofsky in ESO’s Die Fledermaus and sang the guest alto solo in Haydn’s The Creation at Glasgow Cathedral. This May, she returned to Glasgow Cathedral to sing in Stanford’s Requiem.
Since 2020, Madison has received singing lessons from highly-regarded singing teacher Margaret Aronson. Throughout the past four years, Madison has worked with Margaret Aronson to develop her voice while she also earned her MA History and Classics degree from the University of Edinburgh. She will join the MMus vocal performance course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in September.
Kristine Donnan is in demand as a piano accompanist, répétiteur, conductor and organist across Scotland. She is Musical Director of Edinburgh Studio Opera and EUMS Sinfonia. She also directs the Glasgow Cathedral Choral Society, the Glasgow Caledonian University Choir and the Carlisle Choir. Kristine holds a Masters in piano accompaniment from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she received the Piano Accompaniment Award as well as the Sam Hutchings Scholarship for Piano Accompaniment.
