About

The Golden City 50 is an exhibition of images and amplifying prose from Strathclyde Theatre Group’s Fringe First award winning production, performed as a promenade production throughout the nave of the Cathedral during the 1974 Festival. The play dramatizes the origins of the Munster Anabaptists, their rebellion against the Holy Roman Emperor in 1534-5, and the brutal repression which terminated both experiment and lives. The exhibition will also pay tribute to members of the company who have joined the ancestors.

This exhibition is free.  Opening times are 9am-5pm Mon-Sat, and 12-5pm Sunday.  All exhibitions will temporarily close during services and concerts.
